Family weather vane

The house had lain empty for 4 years before we bought it in 1983 and required an enormous amount of work!

" The potential of the house was in no doubt and I, especially, had the vision to see that the Hall would be a wonderful family home," says John.

Over 40 years on and our 3 children have flown the nest, the house has been restored and we now welcome you our guests into our home.

The Hall pre WW2, note the railings.

Asenby Hall dates back at least to the 17th century, but the present house reflects the remodelling of circa 1765 with some early 19th century additions. The chapel and dovecote disappeared many years ago, but the restored ‘Tithe Barn’ has proved a wonderful venue for fund-raising theatricals, concerts and dances.
